  • Peter Hildebrand says:

I attended and was part as a server in 1945 of the Rose Service “So among the roses of the Martyrs, Brightly shines Saint Alban”.
I stood at a corner of the Shrine with a candle and the congregation laid bunches of roses around the shrine.
Is the Festival Pilgrimage the modern counter-part of the Rose Serve ?
I have a small badge to commemerate with 1945 printed on it.
    Peter.
