information and independent reviews about living, shopping, eating and drinking in St. Albans. It's authored primarily by a man in his 30's who occasionally begs for posts from other local bloggers. No cash or other rewards have ever been received in an exchange for a review.

I attended and was part as a server in 1945 of the Rose Service "So among the roses of the Martyrs, Brightly shines Saint Alban".
I stood at a corner of the Shrine with a candle and the congregation laid bunches of roses around the shrine.
Is the Festival Pilgrimage the modern counter-part of the Rose Serve ?
I have a small badge to commemerate with 1945 printed on it.
Peter.
