First you need a good architect. He will then direct you to a builder who he has worked with and is confident to recommend. He or the builder will then recommend electrician/plumber/decorator. This way you get only recommended tradesmen.

First off and what many people do is ask there friends and family whether they can or cant recommend a local tradesmen to use and in a lot of cases maybe even a family member is within the industry themselves making it even easier.
