Blue Anchor Pub

Submitted by Robin Hamman on March 14, 2009 – 13:42No Comment

Popped into the Blue Anchor pub at the bottom of Fishpool Street (St. Albans AL3 4RY) for lunch today and were really impressed. The refurbishment, a couple of years ago now, has created a lovely environment to have a nice meal. Service was good, fast and friendly. I had the cheesy cauliflower and leek with hand cut chips and a pint of bitter – all fresh, hot (or cool in the case of the beer) and delicious. I can’t recall a better gastro-pub experience in St. Albans. Seriously.
