Chaps – Mens’ Hairdressers, St. Albans

Submitted by Robin Hamman on March 25, 2009 – 08:19One Comment

Credit crumble and all, i thought I’d reduce my costs so it’s out with Hob (£30+) and in with Chaps where £14.50 secures a good cut, friendly service, and – unless you’re there when it first opens – a place in a queue. I’m happy but do be strategic about when you go. Open late some week nights and from noon on Sunday. You’ll find Chaps at 53 Catherine Street, St. Albans, Hertfordshire, AL3 5BN

I can thoroughly recommend Brown’s Barbershop on the corner of London Road and Watson’s Walk. A very personal service, surrounded by 50s Americana, and only £12.50. I’m not going to suggest the best times to go to avoid having to wait otherwise I’ll mess things up for myself!
