St. Albans Museum – The Home Front Exhibition

Submitted by Robin Hamman on March 23, 2009 – 18:542 Comments

Free to local residents to all, this exhibition of Britain, and Herts, during the war runs until 28 June 2009. The museum also has a wonderful collection of historical photos – we once found one of our old home which, at the turn of the century, was likely the home of workers in the Hat Factory, recently turned into flats, on Inkerman Road. Worth a visit.

St. Albans Museum can be found on Hatfield Rd, St. Albans, AL1 3RR – more info on their website.

The museum also runs a variety of childrens holiday activities and lectures associated with temporary exhibitions. There are free quiz sheets for children and friendly helpful staff. If you are visiting the museum you can park there too.
