Apparently Chidwickbury was once home to Stanley Kubrick although you’d never guess that given the quiet, idyllic place it is. We go for family walks up the gated road, past the old estate house and through rolling Hertfordshire fields where rabbits, cows and even the odd muntjak deer or fox can be seen. Just 3 minutes from St. Albans, off the Herpenden Road. But shhhhh, please don’t tell anyone.
