Four Inch Road Crater Repaired

Submitted by Robin on February 25, 2010 – 08:46One Comment

The 4+ inch deep pothole I highlighted here and on St. Albans People has been repaired.

The hole, which could easily have caused a cyclist to crash or swerve into traffic, or a car to lose control, was a major danger to road users and pedestrians.

I have no way of knowing if my photo and articles brought the pothole to the attention of Herts Highways but am glad it’s been repaired regardless.

But look at the repair! It will last about 5 minutes! All they have done is push some poor quality tarmac into the hole, it will crumble out so quickly and the same pothole will return and get worse!
