Bonsai Show at Kingsbury Barn

Submitted by Robin on June 6, 2010 – 14:21No Comment

The Mid Herts Bondai Club is staging an exhibition (free) at Kingsbury Barn, St. Michael’s, today until 17.00.

We popped in yesterday and saw trees of a range of sizes and ages – some as much as 50 years old – from Junipers to English Oak.

A member of the club took time out to show us around, and to explain how bonsai trees are kept small (restricting and trimming the roots, constant pruning, etc).

The barn itself is also worth a look – but hurry, it’s over at 5pm.
